Note to self: When walking to Pathmark ... don't wear navy cargos without belt.
I am skinny. I wear size 28 in pants. My waist? My waist is actually like 26 inches or so. I need a belt with almost every pair of jeans I have. I am no hip hop. I don't wear pants on my ass. I have no ass to do that if I wanted to anyway. I like pants that I can buy in XS and maybe has a pullstring. Oh security.
I have navy cargos. Canyon River Blues. Got 'em at Macys (I think). Two pairs. They were on sale. I like cargos. They are comfortable. I like walking over to the park wearing cargos. I like cargos very much. They are nice.
I needed to get some groceries today. I showered and grabbed my cargos and a white tank top. Yeah ... a tank top. After the first times ... I've grown to like 'em and people aren't too grossed out seeing me in one. So yay ... navy cargos and the tank top. Then I look down. The 'Goes on clear!' antiperspirant? Not clear. Unless you're white as chalk. So I changed into a blue skater-type tee. I headed out and had the pull my cargos up a bit. No big deal. The were getting under my sneakers as I walked anyway. I was only a block away from my building but refused to turn back for a belt.
I had to pull 'em up a few times getting to Pathmark. No big deal. I'll catch a bus to come back home anyway so it's not going to matter. I stood and waited ... and waited. No buses. None! Jersey Transit sucks! I ended up walking all the way back home, stopping every three seconds so my pants didn't fall to my ankles. And doing that while holding groceries.
Never going to happen again.
While walking over though ... I saw a monarch butterfly. I swear ... if I could be a butterfly ... I'd want to be a monarch. A monarch is the epiphany of butterflies. But I don't find them cocky. There's no arrogance there. The one I saw was fluttering right in front of me and I found myself following it along the sidewalk until it fluttered higher and across the street. My eyes didn't stop though. They followed it for a while after. So beautiful. And they're so distinguishable. Everyone knows monarchs, even if not by name. They know 'orange butterfly with dark and white markings'. They must.
My throat's been really dry lately. Doesn't matter how much I drink, it's still drink. Dry and sore. I have no idea why. I mean ... I know I kicked that cold's butt. But I don't think my throat should be sore still. It's as if I have to constantly drink something. And I find myself drinking a lot more ... not because I'm thirsty but just because of my throat. It's irritating.
