I was just fixing some of the image links on my diary and I had to fix the ones I had in my September 11th entries. It just all comes back. What I felt that day. Yet ... it seems far away. Maybe it's the safety of my apartment. I mean ... I'm reminded every day. Especially when I walk past that wall in Grand Central. I can avert my eyes all I like ... there's no way to escape. But looking at the pictures right now brings everything I felt that day ... back.
Today was pretty quiet. I cleaned up the apartment a little. I got a call from that company about a couple logos they need by morning. Caught me totally offguard. I was immediately stoked about the whole thing. I think I got wet even. That is ... until she asked about the fee. I had no idea what to say since I haven't even see Walt since that day or worked out any sort of idea of what I'd charge.
"How 'bout a hundred dollars?"
"Uh ...," I managed to stutter. "Can I think about it and get back to you?"
In situations like that ... I pace back and forth while on the phone and it increases when I hang up. I'd pace and talk to myself. I'm psychotic like that.
"Is she insane?"
That was the main question of the day. Husani asked it. Norm asked it. I'm too tired to go into my 'Wingd Advantage Program rant. I called her back and worked it out. So I have to work on two logos and email them to her for morning. Then I have to go into the city to Keri's. We start on the new set of cards this week. I like going there. I do. People at the office have sorta grown used to me I guess. It feels good going there and seeing them smile ... genuine or not ... when I say hi.
