2001-10-09 - 11:01:17 "Good Luck Not Getting Anthrax"
Tuesday

I was listening to 99x this morning and they were talking about a flight yesterday. A passenger got up, ran full speed to the cockpit screaming "Save the towers!" .... *sigh*

It's not going away anytime soon ... is it?

The guy who did that suffered from mental illness. They managed to hold him down and fighter jets escorted the plane to the nearest landing. On the bus into the city this guy said something to his girlfriend like, "Good luck not getting anthrax," as they got off the bus.

"Well ... that's positive," I thought.

He was joking ... but still. Said too loud and heard by the wrong people can cause panic right now.

I'm at Keri's office right now. Cops are all over Grand Central. Inside and out. And army personnel. I'm not used to walking by an army jeep on my way to an office. Can it be something I'll get used to? Will it have to be something I'll get used to? I was supposed to get here at 11 and I actually made it early. The couple people I've met here are pretty nice to me. I feel crappy though. My nose wont ... stop ... running. Like a busted faucet. I have to keep running to the bathroom every 2 seconds to blow my nose. Charming. Of course ... they don't have Kleenex and the toilet paper has my nose totally sore right now. I just feel like going home and getting back in bed. Keri needs my help though. She's been running around like a crazy person. Gotta love high-stress jobs huh. I'm supposed to meet Aaron when I get out of here this afternoon ... but I'm really not sure I'm up to it.

This guy I was chatting online with last night suggested lemon zinger tea. Hmmm .. I have to find some. I can't deal with this. At least my throat's not scratchy any more. I think the NyQuil's working. I just haven't been able to rest properly. Not now or when it was really bad before. I wont be able to rest tomorrow either. Tomorrow's a 'White Plains'- Wednesday.
