I saw a sign in the bathroom of a coffee shop yesterday that made me chuckle. It read something like:

"Please DO NOT flush anything besides toilet paper"

Scrawled under it was: "We just want freedom!!!" I think they meant something about the government because on another side of the wall was something about Bush, but it made me chuckle.

Yesterday was fun but very wet. No work because my 'boss' was sick. I hung out with Kelly and showed her around the city a bit. We grabbed lunch from the Whole Foods in the Time Warner Center and ate in a drizzly Central Park. I dragged her downtown and we window-shopped until I got to Rags-A-Gogo where I did some real shopping. felt great. I hadn't been there in a long time. New jeans, three tshirts and beautiful shirt for Kelly, all for 50 bucks. Cute boys. Kelly loved pointing them out. Fun at first but made me somewhat depressed after a while. Beautiful people always make me depressed. Even the gorgeous boy in the trucker hat who looked at me as we passed each other in Urban Outfitters. So did the other one with the beautiful eyes who sauntered into the coffee shop in SoHo as I sipped on hot chocolate.

We got back to Jersey after 8pm and dropped by Pathmark on our way home. It was raining much harder by then. Taking a bus didn't make much sense so i decided on a gypsy cab. A gypsy cab that took us about two blocks before breaking down. I couldn't fucking believe it. Waiting in the rain for a bus was not fun. We were both almost soaked right through by the time we finally got home. Took out the trash then took a long hot shower. I was tired and my eyes stung from the now ever lingering cigarette smoke. I went to bed relatively early, read some of 'Porno' (started reading it again a couple days ago) until I fell asleep.

I'm in Fishkill right now. I'm not too happy but I will be paid. Life isn't that bad. I got up this morning, called in only to be told to go to Fishkill instead of Riverdale. This was slightly after nine. I'm incredibly bored and I think I'll use this time to finish up earlier journal entries I left open and then maybe work on my portfolio. I need to go back on my job hunt. I stopped looking after I started working that extra day in Riverdale.

I wish they at least had wi-fi here. Fuckin' hick town.
