(This was from my last entry. I felt it was too long so I broke it in two)
Surprisingly ... I got up around 4 hours later. Naturally. No alarm clock or anything. Probably because I knew I had errands to run and would have to haul ass back into the city anyway. I spent most of the day at Eric's office. Soaking up their DSL. Eric and I left the office around 5. *lisp* ... It was like 2,000 fuckin degreeethsss and the ssssthssubway was packed. It totally sssthhssucked. Amber was having her nails done. We picked up some dinner and went back to the apartment. Eric went to play basketball soon after. Amber and I went to Agata Valentina and talked while she had a salad. I told her about last night. The whole Murray thing.
"You should ask him if he wants to go blading on Sunday with you and Husani."
"Yeah ... I'll ask."
I figure I have nothing to lose since I already expect him to say no anyway. Notice though how friends always edge you on. Telling you how much the guy's looking at you. Telling you that he's probably interested. You of course ... moronically ... you go along with it and end up saying things like "Really?" ... "Was he smiling when he was looking?".
Blah!
And even while we're sitting there talking about guys and how stupid they can be ... this incredibly attractive guy walked in and looked over at me. Dark hair ... dark eyes ... light blue shirt and dark pants.
"He's cute and he's just your size, Angel Boi," Amber pointed out.
"Blah. Let's go."
I got back to Jersey around 9. I felt all sweaty and sticky and totally disgusting. Mark and Gyselle were cooking dinner.
"We have some leftover spaghetti. Want some?" asked Gyselle
"No thanks."
"I got the phone bill," said Mark.
Eeeep!
"Oh." I didn't know what to say or what to expect.
"It's not bad. You had me scared at first."
"How much is it?"
"Like 60 bucks."
"That's it?!" I thought.
"Oh cool. I'll pay you for the calls then just tell me what I owe. Oh and you have to call about that cable modem thing."
"Sure. We'll call now."
He called but the lines were busy or something. I mean it was after 9 anyway. He's getting a laptop so we're setting up 2 lines. I can't wait.
"You look pretty excited," he said looking up from his chair.
"I am," I smiled.
"Oh ... cool. They give you 30 days to try it and you could ditch it if you don't like it," he was reading this letter from Optimum Online.
"Trust me ... you'll like it."
I took a long ... almost cold shower. I was so hot. I thought I was gonna pass out and my head was starting to hurt. I have this report to finish typing for Richie. I'll probably have to go up to White Plains on Friday. Oh .. and I have to meet with Adam tomorrow. That should be cool. And ... I have to drag Husani back to View. I said I'd ask the bartender to go blading ... and dammit ... I'm gonna do it.
