•Monday•The weekend wasn't bad. I think I passed the test. I managed to stay 90% happy. The other 5% was me spiraling into 'people fucking suck' moods. I can't seem to control those but at least they didn't last long.
Laura has a friend staying with us for a couple weeks. Her name's Kelly and she's from Alabama. Short girl with pale skin, red hair and a smile that makes me feel just a little bad for being such cynic. She's pretty cool, her accent's cute and I think we've spoken more than Laura and I have recently. It's a full house because Laura's mom's also here but only for a few days. Laura's been staying at the new guy's place a lot I guess. I can't say I miss her. I don't even feel bad for saying that.
I like Laura's mom a lot but mainly because she isn't MY mom. I have enough drama and issues with my current model. She cooked a big Easter Sunday dinner and it felt good hearing laughter in the apartment. She's recently moved to Canada and we talked about that a bit. She said if I ever need anything I can always call her. It's nice when people do that, isn't it. Even if they don't mean it, just something warm and comforting in the thought.
