I have no idea why, but I keep thinking back to the first time Aaron and I kissed. Do I like torturing myself? Abso-frickin-lutely. I'm in a great mood though. Still. I'm actually smiling! My birthday's in like two weeks ... so I'm gathering all the positive energy I can to combat the evil forces that usually attack on the ill-fated November 9th. *hero pose*
On my .... I think 19th birthday, I had the worst day possible. I got a call from the bank saying my checking account was overdrawn by about 300 bucks. I had practically everybody yelling at me for some reason or the other. And the day ended with me having one of my top ten migraines, getting home and just going to bed. On top of that ... no one even remembered it was my birthday. The next day, the bank called and said they made an error and I actually had a credit of about 300 bucks. It's as if ... everything happened the day before just because it was my birthday. Last year, I got the chicken pox not that long before my birthday and was still healing from the scars. And it rained. All day.
But not this year. No sirree Bob.
The train ride up to White Plains was pretty interesting today. These two women were sitting across from me. Probably ... I'm guessing, in their 60's. One was telling the other about this scavenger hunt and someone having to take a picture of her ass.
"You mean with nothing on at all?" asked the other one.
"Well, they needed a picture of someone mooning them," she explained.
"And you did it? Wearing nothing? Oh my God!"
"I just showed 'em my tush."
They were chattering away like two highschool girls. One was even twirling her hair with her fingers. It was just too cool. I have to download Elton John's 'That's why they call it the blues' when I get home. That and Jame Taylor's 'Fire and Rain' were part of my soundtrack this morning on the bus into the city. Playing over the radio, they just matched the morning. No heavy traffic going into the city. No bomb scares again at Grand Central. Good day. I've sorta gotten used to the army guys.
The train ride up is always so relaxing. And this time of year's really nice. Fall colors are so beautiful.
