•Thursday•

Spider-ManI saw Spider-man on Tuesday night. Right after, I walked home thinking too much. Wrapped in the movie fantasy. I wish I had super powers. Actually, they don't have to be super. I just wish I had powers. Like, the power to control my money. The power to pay my own rent. The power to have a checking account, savings account. The power to buy new socks without having to ask someone for the money. That kind of power.

Last night was pretty cool. I hung out with Rudy at Barrage. We hung out for a good bit. I refused every drink offered. Mainly because I didn't want to drink but my stomach was also still slightly upset. I met him downtown outside The Virgin. I'd planned on going on a great job hunt. Asking bars on the upper eastside if they were hiring. We went uptown but after Rudy pointed out something I already knew (that you have to know someone), we ended up stopping at the Gap near 86th instead.

Denim jackets were on sale. The exact one I wanted. It would've been insane not to get it. Weather was weird. That's when we went over to Barrage. We met this guy, Chris, I think ...and Britton. Britton was really cool and spent most of the night chatting with her. Rudy seemed to focus on Chris. I connect so much easier and faster with girls. Mostly because I find most of them a little less shallow than guys here.

There was this guy who kept looking at me and later came over and started talking to Rudy. He introduced himself and told Rudy he was cute. The turned to me and said something like, "And you, you're beautiful." I felt weird and awkward but didn't turn away the ego boost I needed.

Britton and Chris left after a couple more drinks. We exchanged numbers, hugged and promised to have coffee some time soon. Why do we always do that when most of us never really mean it? She was really cool to be around though, so I'll call her for sure.
