Saturday

Monster's Inc.'s SulleyKitty!

I got back from seeing 'Monsters, Inc.' a while ago. Such a cute movie. If it's the only thing I get this Christmas ... I want a plush Sulley. He's just too cute! The animation was incredible. The way Sulley's fur moved looked so real. And Boo, she was too cool. I might go see it again next week. The story was really nice. It was a little more involved than I thought it would've been. Seeing Sulley's apartment and stuff. I thought the whole thing would've just been at the factory. The ending was a little sad. But good. They also played a short before the movie. That was really funny and again ... great animation. It must be so cool working at Pixar.

I felt it today. The ... blah ... Christmas spirit. But by accident and I sorta hope it doesn't happen again. I was leaving to go see the movie and ... bam! I get downstairs and there in the corner, right across from the mail boxes was a tree. And it just came over me. I stood there for 3.5 seconds looking at it. The lights. Smiling. I couldn't help it. So now ... *sigh* ... I'm in trouble. See ... once you feel it ... everything else sets in. Then you realize how broke you really are when other people are shopping. You realize how alone you might be when others are making plans.

I can't believe it's December already.

Got another bottle of Nyquil. Yay! I love that stuff. Really. My throat's not sore at all now. It didn't even get a chance to set right in. Nyquil kicked ass! I just can't let this cold set in. I have too much stuff to do. I have to totally finish up that site for Eric and email him a link to the preview tomorrow. I don't really feel like doing any work though. And rightly so. *Minnesotan accent* It's the weekend fer gash sake!

For once in a long while, I'm not totally broke. Jake gave me a hundred bucks on Friday. Just out of the blue. He did the same to everyone else in the room. I wasn't about to ask him if he's ok. I thanked him and put it in my bag. Sometimes I despise people who can do that. He did it like it was a one dollar bill. So at least I have money for a couple days. I have to go get groceries tomorrow.

My rent's still not paid. I'm hoping Mark wont get back from wherever he is until I have that check. I doubt that'll happen though. He'll probably be back tomorrow night. I have no idea what I'm gonna tell him. I should tell him to just call Norm. Yah, I should totally do that. She's the one writing out my rent check anyway. My cable modem bill hasn't been paid either so I expect that it'll come down to the wire like a couple months ago. They had it programmed already to be diconnected. I got lucky.

Sometimes I feel Norm lives in a whole other world. One where she doesn't realize how much things really cost. I guess people can get like that when they use their credit card for everything. You don't see the actual cash being spent. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't make it a day if we were to trade places.
